9:00 Skirting The Issue I/II  Explore the practical construction of mid-century skirts and petticoats, fashionable variations, and supportive underskirts, for all economic classes.  You’ll try your hand at the techniques that take your skirts from “costume” to “clothing”: gauging and pleating, flounces, tucks, and hem braid, all on a delightful doll scale you can use for education or display later! 11:15 Frozen Fashions If you’re tired of being chilly, this is one class you want to take! Learn about the cold-weather systems and garments used by the Original Cast, from the skin out, and go home with a plan to keep yourself and others safe and comfortable in everything from “cool damp chill-the-bones” weather, to “deep January frost”… and look great while doing it!

1:30 Living Citizen History Have you been feeling a little left out of the living history scene?  Learn how to expand your role as a citizen within your current events, and how to put on the events you’d like to attend, but can’t find!  Move far beyond the battle/tea/ball set up to enrich your own experience and those of others. We'll explore scenario strategies, "value-added" activities, and completely out-of-the-box ways to expand and enjoy history, as well as a variety of interpretive skills you'll use every single event! We’ll explore some of the ways citizen groups make a difference, and how to help newcomers to the hobby get off on the right foot. There’s much more to life as citizen than you might know, and it’s all waiting for you to experience.

3:00 Upgrade Clinic We’ll round out the series with a fun, friendly clinic for any ailing clothes! Come prepared with wardrobe items and get Mrs. Clark’s thoughts and suggestions on upgrading the accuracy, refining fit, or remaking to another purpose. This workshop is free when you register for at least one other class in the series.
